Mt. Spokane State Park Year Round Easy to Difficult

Mt. Spokane State P ark consists of 13,919 acres and has a summit elevation of 5883 feet. There are 14 trails of varying difficulty. Visit mtspokane.org for online brochures and info on individual hikes. Also in the park is a great downhill ski area, an extensive cross country ski trail system, the fire lookout from the top, moved to Quartz Mountain (for rent), a very cool stone Vista House on top and great 360 degree views of Washington, Idaho, Montana and Canada. To get to Mt. Spokane, drive north on Argonne, or Sullivan to Hwy #206, then right (east) to the mountain. For the summer of 2009, the road is being rebuilt and access is closed to the general public.

Cool things to see: summit views, 10 lakes in the distance, wildflowers, huckleberries, wildlife, many scenic trails, ancient trees, and on top is the Vista House.
