Upper & Lower Geiger Lakes and Lost Buck Pass Trail #656 Spring-Summer-Fall Moderate

One of the cool things about these lakes, is there ease of access. The Lower Lake is only 2 miles and 1000 feet of vertical gain. The second lake is another mile with 600 vertical feet of gain. These lakes are nestled beneath some big mountains with dynamic views. Once at the upper lake, venture up one more mile to Lost Buck Pass. Not only do you get to look down at the lakes, the views of Engle Peak towering above Wanless Lake off in the distance is spectacular. While you are on the pass, wonder along the divide trail to the south, or bushwhack over to the base of Carney Peak to the north for an experience of being in a truly beautiful place.
To get to the trailhead, drive south of Libby on Hwy 2 for 17 miles, to West Fisher Creek Road #23.
Turn right (west) and drive about 6 miles, and turn left (south) onto Road #6748, then 2 miles to the trailhead.

Cool things to see: 2 lakes, towering mountains, cliffs, waterfalls, views across to Engle Peak with Wanless Lake below, rocks, scenic ridge trail, spires, wildflowers, trees and scenic trail.
