Trail of the Coeur d'Alene's. Year Round, except snow Easy

This trail starts in Mullan, Idaho near the Idaho-Montana boarder, and meanders along the old Union Pacific Railroad bed all the way to Plummer, Idaho, some 72 miles later. The first part of the road follows the I-90 corridor to Pinehurst, where it heads south along the Coeurd'Alene river to Harrison. At Harrison the trail follows the south end of Lake Coeurd'Alene to Lake Chatcolet, where it crosses the lake on the old railroad trestle to Heyburn state Park and on to Plummer, Idaho. Although this trail isn't flat, it is so gentle that anyone of any age can ride it. Be sure to stop at the Enaville Bar & Grill, also affectionately called the Snake Pit for lunch. I highly recommend the fish sandwich.

Cool things to see: Rivers, lakes, cliffs, mountains, wildlife, wildflowers, birds, Harrison, the Snake Pit meadows, and many bridges.
