Tiger Peak Moderately Difficult

Tiger Peak is another of those areas that offers great skiing. The route in is about 2.5 miles along on old mining roads and trails to the translator station and peak. To get to the “trailhead” drive east on I-90 to Wallace. Drive through Wallace, and under the overpass as if you are going east. Instead of going east, continue northeast up Burke Canyon. About 10 miles up Burke Canyon is Burke, Idaho. The old assayers office (now a home) sits just east of a creek that is made up of large black mining timbers. Park here and head up to Tiger Peak. Please refer to a currant USFS map or topo for specific directions the the peak.

Cool things to see: Burke Canyon, forest and great slopes.
