Around Lake Coeurd'Alene Medium In Length
The drive around Lake CDA is very photogenic for most of the trip. Drive east on I-90 to the Harrison Exit at the eastern end of Wolf Lodge Bay, and turn right (south) onto Hwy 97. As you drive past Beauty Bay and climb the hill, you will see a rest stop at the top. Turn into it and take the short walk out to the overlook, looking down at Beauty Bay and Wolf Lodge Bay. Back in the car, continue on 97 along the lake until you get to Harrison. At Harrison, the Trail of the Coeurd'Alene's heads south of town and offers a great break from driving, and good views. Back in the car again, continue south on 97 to St. Maries and west on Hwy #5 to the Heyburn State Park. From here head west again on Hwy #5 to Plummer and 95 north to CDA.
